2012 “Doing business in Brazil” Guides collection

Like in 2012 we will continue to provide you with a collection “Doing Business in Brazil” guides. They continue to be a great source of basic information. Always keep in mind that these guides are most times teasers from law firms or other consultancies.  If you Google on “Doing Business in Brazil” you will find hundreds of guides. In the meantime I have collected more of these guides and to avoid you spending the same amount of time as I did, I have made a collection of these guides. I hope this will help you in your desk research.

Most of them are written by law firms. If you go to the international chambers of commerce you will find another pile of guides, mostly with content written by the same lawyers or accountants. Most of the documents are complete, some of them are extremely boring (You can imagine the lawyer writing it). If you take for example the documents of Swiss Chamber of commerce you will go through 350 pages edited by legal writers. Yes, it is complete (and already outdated..). Most of these guides are more like “teasers” making you to want to look for a lawyer or accountant. Furthermore you will find reports of institutions such as the IMF, World Bank, about economic statistics or the major challenges of the country such as tax reform, improving education or the transportation infrastructure.

They give you relative good information, however most of them provide for boring reading and little useful insights for a foreign entrepreneur or manager eager to put hands on his business here.
